Blogpower Blogroll

Location:

Criteria:

What is Blogpower?

Blogpower …is so simple that Tim Worstall can’t understand it. It’s just a club of bloggers who undertake to visit and promote each other’s blogs. In fairness to Tim, I didn’t get it either at first. I signed up because James asked me. But I have been pleasantly surprised at the sense of community that has developed in a very short time. I hope we can retain the essential simplicity of the idea and continue to help each other out. [Tom Paine]

TO JOIN BLOGPOWER

Firstly - is your blog over three months old, do you have an “About” which tells members who you are, do you have a navigable site where we can access even your earliest posts quickly and do you have a particular reason to join Blogpower?

Next, are you prepared to run our banner and blogroll [in one of the available forms] on your site?

Lastly, will you undertake to visit other members, this being the main purpose of Blogpower?

If yes to all of those, please mail Ian at his e-mail … You’ll be added to the “Light from Yonder Window?” list [below] and he can help you with any difficulty.

Blogging Alliance of Non-Partisan Canadians Blogroll

Location: http://nonpartisans.ca/join.shtml

Criteria:

Mission Statement

The Blogging Alliance of Non-Partisan Canadians gathers together Canadian bloggers, regardless of political affiliation, to celebrate and increase awareness of the diversity of thought within the Canadian blogosphere, and to increase the profile and traffic of member websites.

Do I Qualify?

The qualifications for membership are as follows:

1. Are you Canadian?
2. Do you have a blog?
3. Do you consider yourself to have a relatively open mind?
4. Are you NOT a member of a partisan blogging association, meaning one dedicated to a particular Canadian political party, such as the Green Bloggers, the Blogging NDP, the LibLogs or the Blogging Tories, or…
5. Is your site multi-partisan, meaning that you belong to more than one of the partisan blogging associations listed above?

If so, then you qualify. It’s as simple as that.

The Blogging Alliance of Non-Partisan Canadians is happy to attract a wide range of bloggers. Your blog does NOT have to be political in order to belong. Indeed, cultural blogs or photoblogs are welcome as they add to the diversity of the group. Likewise, if you have committed yourself to a particular political party, this does NOT disqualify you, so long as you haven’t already joined one of the partisan blogrolls mentioned above. We are seeking only to grant traffic to a diverse set of quality bloggers who are uncomfortable with joining the explicitly partisan blogrolls in the Canadian blogosphere. We only ask that you display the BANPC blogroll code, so that all the members of the BANPC can benefit from the link your membership provides.

Sites which meet the criteria when they joined the BANPC, and which went on to join other partisan blogging associations will NOT be asked to leave the BANPC. They can stay as part of a grandfather clause. Members of the Progressive Bloggers, the Liberty Logs and the Red Ensign Brigade are also welcome to join.

We do reserve the right to refuse membership, however, to pornographic websites, sites advocating hate in contravention of Canada’s legal code, or other things that could get members of this alliance into trouble.

Joining Up

Place the following code somewhere on your website. It can be on your main template, or it can be on a separate links page, but we would appreciate it if you include this blogroll code because that’s how other BANPC members get the benefit of your membership, and vice versa.

Once you do this, send me an e-mail containing your name, your e-mail address, your blog name, your blog’s URL and your blog’s RSS or Atom feed (if you have one). You can e-mail me by clicking on the button below:

You can also click the above button to e-mail me if you have any questions about the BANPC.

American Bloggers for Inclusive Debates Blogroll

Location: http://inclusivedebates.blogspot.com/

Criteria:

ATTENTION: Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians; ALL Americans
Listen up! This could be the most important blog you’ve ever visited…

American bloggers: We need your help.

Help us to clean up Washington DC!

Force the major party candidates to weigh in on the key issues in the Presidential debates that may not be very “comfortable” for them to discuss!

Take your Democratic, or Republican Party back from the greedy, self-serving politicians!

For third party Americans; have your candidate heard in the debates, and perhaps, even elected to the nation’s highest office!

“The narrowness of the presidential debates, their scripted nature, is the source of their lack of vitality and credibility. Including significant independent and minor party candidates is a critical aspect of democratizing the debates and broadening our national dialogue. The American public has made it clear they want broadness and inclusion.”
- Former Congressman Tim Penny
